Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) chief and former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao stated that he is observing the government’s actions silently and will take appropriate action at the right time.
Speaking at a meeting with leaders from Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district at his farmhouse, KCR said, “This serves as a valuable lesson for Telangana. Some people, driven by greed, were misled by empty promises and ended up being deceived. Whether they will provide the Rythu Bharosa scheme or not remains uncertain. Even if they do, it will only be for electoral gains. The projects have remained stagnant where they are.”
He further stated that the state’s revenue has dropped significantly. “During the BRS tenure, revenue increased every year, but now it has fallen drastically. The CAG report has clearly stated that there has been a revenue loss of Rs 13,000 crore. The situation is expected to worsen further. In just four more months, the government may not even be able to pay salaries,” KCR said.
Referring to a recent survey conducted by the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), KCR claimed that 70% of the people supported BRS, while only 30% remained with the Congress.
He further remarked that he has seen many governments but never one like this. “Within just a year, the Congress government has faced immense opposition. People are so frustrated that they are ready to lash out at Congress leaders if they come across them. The old Congress ways have returned—there are power cuts, and the drinking water supply is irregular. A year has passed, and our people are demanding that we expose this government. At the end of February, let’s hold a massive public meeting to highlight these failures. When I hit, I do not hit lightly—I hit hard,” Rao asserted.
“Let us showcase Telangana’s strength and bring Congress to its knees. They keep talking about my farmhouse—what is there in my farmhouse apart from ginger and onions? If Congress leaders come here, let’s give them each a shovel and ask them to start digging. There is no doubt that our government will return to power. That is certain,” KCR concluded.
