Kunal Kamra has stoked controversy as he mocked Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as a “traitor” in his recent stand-up show.
Shiv Sena has said the party will take legal action against Kamra, who describes himself as a comedian.
“Meri nazar se tum dekho to gaddar nazar wo aaye. Haaye!” he said during his show, giving a “Dil To Pagal Hai” touch to the state politics. He posted the video clip of the “song” on his X handle.
In his show, Kamra mocked Shinde in an edited version of a Hindi song, drawing laughter from the audience.
He referred to his 2022 rebellion in which he split the Shiv Sena into two – Shinde faction and Uddhav Thackeray faction.
