Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday accused the ruling AAP in Delhi of making “fake” Aadhaar cards for illegal immigrants.
“The AAP made fake Aadhaar cards of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas to make them settle in Delhi,” he said, slamming the Arvind Kejriwal-led party for “appeasement” politics while campaigning for the BJP ahead of the assembly elections on February 5.
Dubbing the AAP as a “symbol of corruption and anarchy”, Adityanath urged people in the national capital to vote for a “double-engine government” of the BJP. He invited Kejriwal to see the infrastructure of Noida and Ghaziabad – both part of the National Capital Region (NCR) – before the election and “realise what all he could have done in Delhi”.
“The AAP government refused to cooperate in making of Delhi-Meerut expressway and rapid rail project from Delhi to Meerut,” he said. “People of Delhi are moving to Ghaziabad and Noida for better infrastructure and facilities.”
